Airgoods provides two convenient options for fulfilling orders, each with specific steps for managing shipping costs. Below is a detailed guide to help you navigate the process.
Overview of Order Fulfillment Options
When fulfilling an order in Airgoods, you can choose between:
Using Airgoods' Shipping Label Service: Purchase a shipping label directly through Airgoods.
Using an External Carrier: Ship the order using a carrier of your choice (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS).
Both options ensure that shipping costs are handled appropriately, either charged to the buyer or reimbursed to you.
Steps for Using Airgoods' Shipping Label Service
Log in to your Airgoods account and navigate to the order you wish to fulfill.
Click on the Fulfill button.
Select Create Shipping Label.
Enter the package weight and dimensions. You can manually input the total weight if needed by leaving the "Save this package for future use" option unchecked.
Review and select the shipping rate provided.
Purchase the shipping label and click Print. If prompted, click Add Package to proceed.
The shipping cost will be reimbursed based on your shipping settings. For example:
If your shipping is set to “Added after shipped,” the exact shipping cost will be added to your payout.
If you use a fixed shipping cost per case, that fixed amount will be added to your payout instead.
Steps for Using External Carriers
Purchase a shipping label from your preferred carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS or through Shopify).
After purchasing the label, log in to your Airgoods account and navigate to the order.
Click Fulfill, then select Enter tracking information.
Enter the tracking number provided by the carrier and the total actual shipping cost you paid for that order. Both are required: the order cannot be marked as shipped until the tracking number and the shipping cost have both been entered.
Once both are saved, the order can be marked as shipped. The shipping cost is recorded and, depending on your shipping setup, you will be reimbursed for shipping during the payout process. You do not need to submit separate documentation through Airgoods.
Important Notes on Shipping Cost Reimbursement
When using Airgoods' shipping label service, the shipping cost is automatically charged to the buyer, so you do not need to pay upfront.
If you use an external carrier, ensure that both the tracking number and shipping cost are accurately recorded in Airgoods. This step is crucial for proper reimbursement during your payout.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Missing "Create Shipping Label" Option
If the order is set to Local delivery/Local fulfillment, the "Create Shipping Label" option will not appear. Uncheck the local fulfillment option or switch to carrier shipping to proceed.
Limited Carrier Options
Incomplete or invalid customer contact details, such as an incorrect phone number, can restrict carrier options. Ensure all shipping address and contact details are valid and complete.
Issues with Printing Labels
If a new label does not appear after adding a tracking number, ensure the tracking number is not the same as the voided or original label. Create a new label or purchase one externally and update the tracking information in Airgoods.
Special Scenarios
Multiple Packages for a Single Order
To create multiple labels for one order:
Open the order and click Fulfill Order.
Select Create Shipping Label and enter the details for the first package.
Click Add Package to add more boxes, entering dimensions and weights for each.
Assign products to each package, purchase the labels, and print them.
Sample Orders
Airgoods does not support creating shipping labels for Sample orders. These must be fulfilled manually.
Identifying Standard Shipping
If the interface does not label a method as "Standard Shipping," it is typically the most affordable option among the available carrier services.
Creating Two Separate Labels for One Order
Create the first label by selecting the items for the first shipment. Repeat the process for the remaining items to generate a second label.
