Airgoods Shopify Integration Guide

This article explains how to set up the new Shopify integration. Sellers can connect their Shopify store to Airgoods to automatically sync order information, product pricing, and keep inventory levels consistent across platforms.

This is the set up guide for the Airgoods x Shopify integration! This integration is completely free of cost.

🧭 Part 1: Pre-integration

Step 1: Upload your products to Airgoods

The integration does not currently support importing products from Shopify (coming soon!).

(optional) Step 2: Add SKU information to Airgoods products

Make sure every product in Airgoods has the "SKU" column filled in. It needs to match exactly with the products in Shopify. This is helpful because it will allow you to automatically link these products to Shopify by SKU.

  • (Tip) You can bulk edit your products on Airgoods by going to the Products tab

(optional) Step 3: Add shipping rates to Airgoods

Make sure you set a shipping rate that is NOT “Added after shipped”. Wholesale buyers prefer getting a guaranteed shipping rate upfront so that they can calculate their landed costs and this has been seen to be correlated with more sales.

  • If you have “Added after shipped” as your default shipping setting, you will need to manually enter tracking numbers and shipping cost to fulfill orders.

Step 4: Generate API keys in Shopify

  1. In your Shopify account, go the the “Apps and sales channels” tab in your Shopify “Settings”

  2. Click and create a “Legacy custom app” app

3. Select API credentials

When creating the custom app, you’ll need to manually add the following API scopes.
Type each of the keywords below into the search bar and click the checkbox next to each one to grant access.

    • write_orders, read_orders

    • write_draft_orders, read_draft_orders

    • write_order_edits, read_order_edits

  • Price related

    • write_price_rules, read_price_rules

  • Shipping & Fulfillment related

    • write_fulfillments, read_fulfillments

    • write_assigned_fulfillment_orders, read_assigned_fulfillment_orders

    • write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders, read_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders

    • write_custom_fulfillment_services, read_custom_fulfillment_services

    • write_third_party_fulfillment_orders, read_third_party_fulfillment_orders

    • write_shipping, read_shipping

    Product related

    • write_products, read_products

    • write_product_feeds, read_product_feeds

    • write_product_listings, read_product_listings

    Customer related

    • write_customers, read_customers

    • write_companies, read_companies

    Inventory related

    • write_inventory, read_inventory

    • write_inventory_transfers, read_inventory_transfers

    • write_inventory_shipments, read_inventory_shipments

Once all are selected

4. Go to "API credentials" tab
5. Click on "Install app"

6. Reveal API access token

  1. This is the API key that you will enter on Airgoods

  2. Note: please save this somewhere as you can only view this once!

🪄 Part 2: Integration

Step 1: Add the Connection

Now that you’ve entered all your SKUs to Airgoods and have generated API keys, we’re ready to connect your Shopify account to Airgoods up the integration!

Steps

  1. Go to the Integrations page in your Airgoods account

  2. Click on the Shopify integration

  3. Click “Connect”

  4. Enter your Shopify sub-domain in the popup modal and the API key from the previous step!

Step 2: Configure your settings

Now that you’re connected, you can configure the settings of your Airgoods <> Shopify integration.

There are a few sync options:

  • Sync orders (important)

    If this is enabled, orders will import to Shopify from Airgoods when you accept them on Airgoods. And fulfillment will sync back to Airgoods when you fulfill on Shopify.

    Note: this includes samples!

    Note: fulfillment will not ship back if the order is set to “Added after shipped” for shipping price

  • Sync inventory (Optional)

    If this is enabled, your Airgoods inventory will stay up to date with Shopify.

    If a product gets to 0 items available on Shopify or less, the product on Airgoods will be set to Out of Stock. Unless the product is marked as Continue selling when out of stock or is set to not track inventory.

  • Sync pricing (Optional)

    If this is enabled, your Airgoods product pricing will stay up to date with Shopify. You can also set a markdown percentage from the Shopify price (default is 50%).

    If a product is $10 on Shopify, and you’ve set a markdown of 50%, it will be set to $5 on Airgoods.

Other settings

  • Import case size as individual units

    If this is enabled, then when orders import to Shopify, the quantity of each product in the order will import as the number of cases/quantity that a customer ordered times the number of units per case.

    This is requested from customers that have SKUs for individual units but sell in cases on Airgoods.

  • Order tags

    You can enter custom order tags that will be added to orders when they import from Airgoods to Shopify.

  • Order number customization

    Customize how the order numbers are imported into Shopify.

    • Import order numbers as Shopify order numbers

      • If this is enabled, future orders imported to Shopify will have the default Shopify order number.

    • Use Airgoods order numbers with optional prefix

      • Orders will be imported with the Airgoods order number.

      • (optional) Enter a string to be a prefix to the Airgoods order number. Airgoods order numbers are in the format "AXXXXXX", whatever you enter here will be added in front of the Airgoods order number.

Step 3: Product Link

Now that you’ve connected to Shopify, it’s time to link your Airgoods products to your Shopify products!

Steps

  1. Go to your connected integration page

  2. Click the “Link products” button

  3. Link your Airgoods products to your Shopify products

    1. Note: if you want to do this in bulk for all products you can do so and they will link to Shopify products by SKU

(optional) Step 4: Test Order

⚠️ Important Note

If you previously used the Market Sync app, please uninstall it to avoid issues with duplicate orders.
To uninstall:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin.

  2. Find Market Sync, click the three dots (⋯) next to it, and select Uninstall.

If both apps (Market Sync and Airgoods) remain installed, Airgoods orders may be imported twice into Shopify.

Also note that orders approved before installing the new Airgoods integration must be fulfilled manually. All new orders will automatically sync through the new integration.

🎉 Step 3: Post-Integration

Important things to note:

  • When you accept an order in Airgoods, it will trigger the integration and your order will import to Shopify.

  • If you add a new product to Shopify, you need to add it to Airgoods and then follow the Product Sync step to make sure it is linked to the correct Shopify product.

See below how to fulfill an order once complete

  1. Accept pending order

    Congrats! You’ve received your first order on Airgoods after the Shopify integration.

    All you need to do to have the order show up on Shopify is “Accept” the order, by clicking “Accept” and then entering the expected ship date.

  2. Once accepted, the order will now be available in Shopify to fulfill

    If an order fails to import for some reason, you will not be able to accept the order. Please reach out to the team using the 24/7 live chat in the bottom right of the website if you run into any issues here.

    Tip: you can also navigate directly to that order by clicking on the Shopify icon in the order page or orders table

  3. Fulfill how you regularly fulfill your orders in Shopify 🎉

    Airgoods will now do the work and take care of all tracking information that gets added to your Shopify orders.

    Note: tracking will only sync back if the order is not “Added after shipped”. This is because you still need to manually enter the shipping price in Airgoods.

    Tip: Once you’ve fulfill the order on Shopify, check back in to Airgoods to verify that the order has been marked as Shipped successfully!
